At the same time, it was agreed that a newly established subsidiary in
Slovakia will take over all the rights and obligations under the contract
of lease. The statutory executive of TransContainer - Slovakia, joint
stock company, is Mr.Jiří Pokorný, CSc.
Combined transport terminal Dobrá is a standard terminal, which
provides services of international terminal. Activities such as loading,
unloading, transhipment and deposition as well as other activities
related to container handling are provided by TransContainer -
Slovakia. Addition of a wagon, ordering and removal of wagons of
normal and broad gauge to and from the terminal is provided by
ZSSK CARGO, using its own driving railway vehicles. The employees of
TransContainer have their seat in the office building of the terminal,
together with personnel of ZSSK CARGO. The contact person on behalf
of ZSSK CARGO is the head of the terminal Mr. Jozef Vrba.
Company TransContainer is a subsidiary of Russian Railwayss
(RR) and it is the largest Russian operator employing over 5 000
people, with tens of terminals throughout Russia. Expectations from
cooperation with such an important foreign partner and a major player
in the field of combined transport, with a stable position in Europe and
Asia, are making the combined transport terminal more attractive and
its capacity utilized, especially for transportations and exchange of
goods between European and Asian markets.
Currently, negotiations with operators and potential customers on
potential transportations of block trains. The issues of transportations
from Italian Turin or Slovenian Koper, with an intention to use the
wagons of ZSSK CARGO, including the 90-foot wagon Sggmrss to
provide these transportations, are being discussed.

At the end of last year, the experts as well as the general public
became aware of the Combined transport terminal (CTT) Dobrá, in
connection with its renting to the Russian operator of intermodal
transport - TransContainer company. The contract of lease, by
which ZSSK CARGO let the combined transport terminal for rent
to TransContainer Moscow for the next 15 years, was signed on 25
November 2008.
Just to remind – CTT Dobrá is located in an important rail V. Pan-
European corridor, it is situated at the junction of two railway gauges
(broad and normal), in the boundary area of changes in transportation
law system and customs procedures and from the standpoint of road
transport near the state border with Hungary and particularly Ukraine.
The importance of this terminal has increased due to the fact that
since Slovakia accessed to the European Union under the Schengen
agreement, it has become the end terminal. Combined transport
terminal Dobrá is of a big importance because it declared a tariff point
with its inclusion in all international mile posts.
According to the signed contract of lease, the company
TransContainer Moscow committed itself to establish its own
subsidiary in the Slovak Republic. This one was incorporated in the
Commercial Register under the name TransContainer - Slovakia, joint
stock company, with its registered office in Košice, on 23 June 2009.
In the period from 1 July to 31 August 2009, the company officially
took over the agreed property in combined transport terminal Dobrá.
