visit the doctor<br />
Routine checks during pregnancy often<br />
involve blood samples being taken and<br />
tested. The health of both mother and<br />
child are consistently monitored to detect<br />
any potential risks at an early stage.<br />
<strong>STRATEC</strong> develops technologies to<br />
automate in-vitro diagnostics processes<br />
and increase their reliability. In-vitro<br />
diagnostics involves tests being performed<br />
in test tubes – in contrast to in-vivo<br />
diagnostics, which works with images<br />
(such as computer tomography).<br />
Nearly 2,000 in-vitro diagnostics analyzer<br />
systems produced by <strong>STRATEC</strong> are<br />
installed by the company’s partners and<br />
customers in doctors’ practices, laboratories<br />
and hospitals around the world<br />
every year. Depending on their individual<br />
workload and complexity, these systems<br />
achieve throughput rates of 400 to 2,000<br />
tests during an eight-hour laboratory shift.
