and sale of Ascendas products and
services in Singapore.
Prior to managing the Singapore
portfolio, Dacon was marketing
the Ascendas’ portfolio of Asia
projects, particularly in China,
Philippines and Thailand. In
2000, he was seconded to Xinsu
Development, a subsidiary of
Ascendas China on a one-year stint
to market Ascendas’ properties
in Suzhou and to train the local
marketing staff.
Dacon joined Ascendas Pte Ltd in
1997 where he garnered extensive
experience in the marketing of
business space to both multinational
companies as well as small
and medium enterprises.
Dacon holds a Masters of Business
Administration from the University
of Warwick, UK and a Bachelor
of Engineering (Civil) from the
Nanyang Technological University.
MS FOO SHEG HEONG
VICE PRESIDENT, ASSET
MANAGEMENT (BUSINESS &
SCIENCE PARKS)
Ms Foo Sheg Heong heads the
Asset Management Team for
Business & Science Parks and
Warehouse Retail portfolio in ASPL
where she oversees the marketing,
leasing and asset management of
assets in her cluster.
Prior to this, she held the position
of General Manager of Ascendas
Plaza, a mixed-use development
in Shanghai, where she presided
over various teams comprising
marketing, leasing, advertising
and promotions and facility
management. Sheg also helms
Ascendas Service (Shanghai) Co
Ltd, as General Manager.
Sheg has over 20 years of
experience in the real estate
industry and has been actively
involved in various aspects of the
property development process;
from pre-development stage to
retail project launch, marketing,
leasing, advertising and promotions,
lease management and office space
and shopping mall operations.
Sheg has been a licensed valuer
since 1991 and holds a Bachelor
of Science degree (Estate
Management) from the National
University of Singapore and a
Diploma in Investment from the
Institute of Banking and Finance.
MS TOH LAY GAN
VICE PRESIDENT, ASSET
MANAGEMENT (LOGISTICS &
DISTRIBUTION CENTRES)
Ms Toh Lay Gan possesses over
14 years of experience in the real
estate industry and currently heads
the Asset Management Team for
Logistics & Distribution portfolio in
Ascendas Services Pte Ltd. She is
in charge of the marketing, leasing
as well as asset management of
A-REIT’s logistics portfolio. Prior
to this appointment, Lay Gan was
overseeing the lease management
team of the Hi-Tech Industrial
& Light Industrial portfolio in
Ascendas Services Pte Ltd. During
her tenure with Ascendas, she
was credited particularly for her
involvement in the successful
launch of A-REIT in 2002. Prior to
joining ASPL, she was with DTZ
Leung and Far East Organization
where she specialized in valuation
and marketing of industrial
properties respectively.
Lay Gan holds a Bachelor of
Science (Estate Management)
(Hons) degree from National
University of Singapore.
MS KAREN LEE
ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT,
ASSET MANAGEMENT
(INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES)
Ms Karen Lee heads the Asset
Management Team for Hi-Tech
Industrial & Light Industrial
portfolio in Ascendas Services
Pte Ltd. Karen has over 11 years
of experience in the real estate
industry covering various areas
of industrial lease and property
management and marketing in
Singapore and Vietnam. Karen
also has extensive experience with
Singapore industrial lease policies
and procedures.
Prior to joining ASPL, Karen held
several positions in industrial real
estate companies such as Head
of Lease & Operations in JTC
Corporation, Manager for Asset
Management & Corporate Marketing
for Mapletree Logistics Trust in
Singapore and Vietnam. She also
held the position of Vice President
in Trust Company Asia in charge
of client services for REIT-Trustee
related and compliance matters.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science
(Economics) (Hons) degree and a
Masters of Science (Real Estate) from
the National University of Singapore.
