Many Year 6 pupils enjoyed the e-safety
transition lessons using Movie Maker and
Flash Animation software.
iPad Club
The school’s iPad club has enjoyed a fun
packed year. The pupils have enjoyed being
able to use the iPads throughout the year
and have produced some lovely work. The
members have experienced using iMovie,
GarageBand as well as graphics apps to produce
some interesting work. The group have
especially enjoyed using the Maths challenge
games and the biology dissection
apps!
This has given
pupils the opportunity
to
experience the
iPads and explore
the many
apps the school
has purchased
for the different
subjects.
Key Stage 3
Key stage 3 classes have had a packed term
studying databases, graphics, desk top
publishing and presenting information work.
They have had the opportunity to
collaborate with each other as well as work
individually to produce another term of
excellent work. A number of pupils are to
be commended for their lesson participation,
achievement and effort this year including:
Year 7 pupils; Felicity Allen, Jack Ruelle,
Joshua Cook, Tom Atkinson, Joe Hitches,
Mary-Kate McGrath and John Mark
Jones. Year 8 pupils; Seb Ackerman,
Lauren Ellis, Sam Holland, Georgia
Howe, Emily Skinner, Sam Stapleton and
Jessica Teague.
Key Stage 4
Year 9 option pupils have completed some
excellent work this year, they have particularly
enjoyed web design and editing html.
Additionally, Year 9 option pupils David Bird,
Joshua James, Sean Mian and Callum
McSorley have enjoyed learning some
programming skills with Codeacademy.
Year 10 pupils Jack Bosley and Rhodri
Guerrier have very successfully held a
programming club all year teaching Years 7 –
10 how to programme with Python.
Year 10 option pupils have submitted their
graphics unit to the exam board and awaiting
confirmation of their results. Well done to all
pupils involved. There were many excellent
pieces of work submitted by students, these
include; Simon Barber, Jack Bosley, James
Caple, Sebastian Dumitrescu, Rebecca
Egerstrom, James Harvey, Sasha Horrobin,
Katie Macleod, Thomas Mullett, Mark
Norton, Joshua Lewis and Rebecca Rahman.

Key Stage 5
At AS and A2, exceptional Graphics and
Multimedia projects were produced by Ben
Ware and Jemma Pitt as part of their A2.
Also congratulations to Balaji Krishna who
produced a flawless AS Computing project.
