Goodbye to our Sixth Form!
We bid a tremendously fond farewell to all
our Year 13 students, many of whom are
leaving Stanwell to further their training in
Music and the Arts. We have been so proud
of you all, and will remember with pride
your commitment and superb contribution
that you have made, both to the department
and to the school. We will miss you dearly –
but wish you every success in your future
careers. Keep in touch!

the completion of the 2013 album which features
11 songs from pupils in Years 9, 10, 11
and 12. Included in the album is a DVD disc
containing interviews with the pupils regarding
their music productions. Lessons occur
after School every Wednesday to Friday and
cost £7. Please get in touch with the music
department if you are interested in joining

Instruments for loan and Peripatetic Music
lessons
Looking forward.....
Every September, peripatetic music teachers
hold a meeting so that existing and potential
learners can sign up for lessons – this year,
the meeting is scheduled to take place on
SEPTEMBER 10 TH IN THE SCHOOL
AUDITORIUM at 2.00pm
Interested pupils should excuse themselves
from class last lesson and go to the auditorium
for details from Mrs Richards. They
will also be given the opportunity to meet
up with the peripatetic teachers which are
from CAVMS and Cardiff and the Vale
County Music Service. It is important that
everyone interested in receiving tuition via
the school attend this meeting; it may not be
possible to sign up so easily at a later date.
We advise that the decision to have vocal or
instrumental lessons is discussed carefully
