At the moment there is no government organisation related to nanotechnology in<br />

Lithuania. Relevant to the nanotechnological field is the Lithuanian Government<br />

decision NR. 1182 of July 19, 2002 On the Approval of the Research and Technical<br />

Development Priorities of Lithuania. Priority 1.3 is about Research for the development<br />

of nanotechnologies. (1.31 Nanoscience, 1.3.2 <strong>Nanotech</strong>nologies, 1.3.3 Development of<br />

multifunctional nanostructured materials). Of further interest for the field of<br />

nanotechnology is Government decision NR. 431 of April 3rd, 2003 on National<br />

Scientific priorities.<br />

Also, the Programme of High Technologies of Lithuania -support of research and<br />

development in the field of <strong>Nanotech</strong>nology by Lithuanian State Science and Studies<br />

Foundation offer funding possibilities.<br />
