The institute can precisely measure dimensions in the micro and<br />
nanorange, and offers metrological services. The institute's<br />
equipment includes Atomic Force Microscopy, which is available<br />
for customers. CMI has an Accurex II.L AFM from TopoMetrix.<br />
They offer measurements of surface topography, point<br />
spectroscopy, magnetic properties and heat-carrying capacity,<br />
temperature and thermal capacity. The institute also collaborates<br />
in an international project for nanotechnology length and<br />
roughness measurements.<br />

Description:<br />
Deposition of micro- and nanostructured coatings, composition<br />
and structure of nanocrystalline, nanocomposite and superlattice<br />
coatings with increased wear resistance, high microhardness, low<br />
friction coefficient (CoCr, CoCrN, Ti/TiN, TiCN etc.). Composition<br />
and structure of selflubricating coatings (MoS2/M, MoSe2/M,<br />
WCo-C). Deposition method: sputtering with unbalanced<br />
magnetrons with d.c. or pulsed d.c. Supply incl. magnetrons in the<br />
