infrastructure and related services for biotechnological<br />

development activities and entrepreneurship. To promote<br />

entrepreneurship TBP prepares and implements strategic<br />

development projects and diversifies various services offered to<br />

biotechnology companies.<br />

The Tartu Biotechnology Park offers services to foreign<br />

biotechnology companies who wish to start operations in<br />

Estonia and to Estonian companies who intend to establish<br />

branches abroad, helping them in the incorporation of<br />

companies and finding personnel and co-operation partners.<br />

The Tartu Biotechnology Park has no nanotechnological<br />

activities.<br />

In order to achieve its aims Tartu Biotechnology Park engages in<br />

active co-operation with Estonian and foreign biotechnology<br />

Companies, research and development institutions, foundations<br />

for the development of entrepreneurship and biotechnology and<br />

other organisations, including state agencies and local<br />

The Competence Centre Programme consists of MikroMasch and other Estonian<br />

companies and Research Universities. Final decision on whether to realise the<br />

Nanosensors<br />

Development of novel nanostructural material technologies for application in various<br />

sensor technologies, primary short run focus will be related to thin film metal oxide<br />

semiconductor gas sensors (hazardous gases, oxygen). More generally, the goal is to<br />

gather critical mass for development of applied nanostructural sensor technologies.<br />
