2/6 The Proponent shall not:<br />
(a) extract more than 3.2 million tonnes of ROM coal from the<br />
mining area in a calendar year, or<br />
(b) transport more than 2.8 million tonnes of product coal from<br />
the site in a calendar year.<br />
2/7 The Proponent shall not export any coal reject from the site after 2021<br />
without the written approval of the D-G.<br />
2/8 The Proponent shall not emplace coal reject on the surface of the site<br />
without the written approval of the D-G.<br />
Note: This condition applies to the Camp Gully Emplacement Area, as<br />
well as to the rest of the surface of the site. It does not apply to the<br />
proposed additional coal reject stockpile shown in Appendix 4.<br />
STRUCTURAL ADEQUACY<br />
2/9 The Proponent shall ensure that all new buildings and structures, and<br />
any alterations or additions to existing buildings and structure, are<br />
constructed in accordance with:<br />

2/10 The Proponent shall ensure that all demolition work is carried out in<br />
accordance with Australian Standard AS 2601-2001: The Demolition<br />

No coal reject emplacement occurs on the surface,<br />
at the <strong>Metropolitan</strong> Mine site.<br />
Renovations have been completed to the former<br />
Mine Manager’s residence at the Major Surface<br />
Facilities Area for use as <strong>Metropolitan</strong> <strong>Coal</strong><br />
administration offices. All works were conducted in<br />
accordance with Building Code of Australia<br />
requirements and fully landscaped cognisant of the<br />
residential surrounds.<br />
Planning considered that the works carried out to the<br />
Mine Manager’s residence were exempt<br />
development under the State Environmental<br />
Planning Policy (Mining, Petroleum Production and<br />
Extraction Industries) 2007.<br />
Partial demolition of the maintenance and bag house<br />
sheds occurred in 2010 in accordance with the<br />
Demolition Safety Plan. The demolition was<br />
undertaken by World Wide Demolitions Pty Ltd and<br />
Inspection and Test Records were completed by<br />
World Wide Demolitions.<br />
