first ‘intelligent building’. This title was<br />
based upon <strong>the</strong> building’s electronic<br />
control system that linked up, through a<br />
data-highway, different systems <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
building such as air conditioning, lifts<br />
and safety systems.<br />
