PROFESSIONAL
n In 2012, Karen claimed her 10th LET title at the Lalla
Meryem Cup at Golf de l’Ocean in Agadir, Morocco.
She fired a final round five-under 66 to finish three clear
of Marianne Skarpnord and Tandi Cuningham. Her next
best finish was T10th at the Deutsche Bank Ladies
Swiss Open. Season’s earnings €73,280.93 (35).
CAREER
n In 2011, posted three top-10 finishes on the LET, with
a season-best tie for 6th at the Ladies Irish Open. Tied for
7th at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open and UNIQA
Ladies Golf Open. Finished 31st on the Money List with
season’s earnings of €68,813.58.
n In 2010, secured ninth LET victory at the Portugal
Ladies Open at Campo Real near Lisbon with a superb
final round of seven under par 65. Played the front nine
in just 30 strokes for a six under par outward total, before
coming home in one under par, sinking a crucial birdie
putt at the last hole.
Recorded three further top-10 finishes individually,
including 4th at the UniCredit Ladies German Open,
a tie for 6th at the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open and a tie for
9th at the Tenerife Ladies Open. Also finished 2nd at the
Comunitat Valenciana European Nations Cup at La Sella
representing Australia alongside Karrie Webb. Earned
first career hole-in-one on the LET at the ABN AMRO
Ladies Open in Holland, holing a six-iron on the 198-yard
par-three ninth and earning an Omega watch. In 2010,
claimed her ninth Ladies European Tour title at the
Portugal Ladies Open.
n In 2004, appointed Chairman of the LET.
n In 1995, best LPGA performance was a tie for 3rd
at the Fieldcrest Cannon Classic.
n In 1993, won the Weetabix Women’s British Open
at Woburn and the Ford Order of Merit.
n In 1992, almost gave up tournament golf but won
last event of year – the Slovenian Open.
n In 1986, earned first career win when she played
through a snowstorm to win the Borlange Open in
Sweden, the first time she had seen snow!
