became a first-time winner at the McDonald's LPGA<br />

Championship Presented by Coca-Cola, the second<br />

major championship of 2009. She later earned her<br />

second victory at the 2009 LPGA <strong>Tour</strong> Championship<br />

Presented by Rolex. Selected as a Captain’s pick by<br />

Alison Nicholas to represent Europe at The Solheim Cup<br />

as a rookie. She competed in 8 tournaments on the<br />

<strong>LET</strong> and recorded four top ten finishes. Her season best<br />

was second at the Madrid <strong>Ladies</strong> Masters, where she<br />

shot a career-low 63 in the final round to make a play-off,<br />

only to be defeated by Azahara Munoz at the first extra<br />

hole. Anna also tied for fourth at the Omega Dubai<br />

<strong>Ladies</strong> Masters, tied for 5th at the S4/C Wales <strong>Ladies</strong><br />

Championship and tied for 10th at the Deutsche Bank<br />

<strong>Ladies</strong> Open. Named 2009 Ryder Cup Wales Rookie<br />

of the Year.<br />

AMATEUR<br />

British Girls Amateur Champion 2005. British Amateur<br />

Champion 2008. Won <strong>European</strong> Team Championships<br />

in 2006 and 2008. Won World Amateur Team<br />

Championship 2008. Won Smyth Salver as the leading<br />

amateur at the 2008 RICOH Women’s British Open at<br />

Sunningdale (T42nd). Leading amateur at the 2008<br />

Scandinavian TPC Hosted by Annika (T6th). Leading<br />

amateur in US women’s college golf whilst representing<br />

Arizona State University in 2008. Turned professional<br />

with a handicap of +4.8. Anna won <strong>LET</strong> Q School for<br />

2009 at La Manga Club by three strokes.<br />

PERSONAL<br />

183cm tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. Started playing<br />

golf at the age of 13 at home in Eskilstuna, located<br />

a one-and-a-half hour drive south of Stockholm, in<br />

Sweden. Attended Arizona State University, where she<br />

studied Inter Disciplinary Studies for two-and-a-halfyears.<br />

Resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. Anna’s<br />

hobbies include watching and playing all sports. She<br />

used to swim for six years but decided that she was<br />

best at golf. Now coached by Tim Suzoy and attached<br />

to Torshalla Golf Club in Sweden. Anna’s role model<br />

was Annika Sorenstam, who stepped away from the<br />

game at the time when Anna was turning professional.<br />
