n In 2012, Linda played in 22 events, 17 cuts<br />

made including 2 top 10 finishes: T4th at the UNIQA<br />

<strong>Ladies</strong> Golf Open in Austria and T7th at the World<br />

<strong>Ladies</strong> Championship in China. Season’s earnings:<br />

€65,368.61 (43).<br />

n In 2011, Linda played in 20 events on the <strong>LET</strong> and<br />

had seven top 10 finishes including a tie for 3rd place<br />

at the UNIQA <strong>Ladies</strong> Golf Open in Austria and a 3rd place<br />

at Raiffeisenbank Prague Masters. She also tied for 4th<br />

at the Hero Women’s Indian Open and tied for 5th place<br />

at the Turkish Airlines <strong>Ladies</strong> Open. Linda ended the<br />

season ranked 14th on the Money List, which was her<br />

third best-career season.<br />

n In 2010, Linda played in 20 events on the <strong>LET</strong>. Her<br />

best finish of the season coming at the Unicredit <strong>Ladies</strong><br />

German Open where she finished in a tie for 5th place.<br />

Wessberg recorded a further 6 top tens to finish 23rd<br />

on the Henderson Money List with season earnings of<br />

€84,089.88.<br />

n In 2009, Linda earned her third <strong>LET</strong> title at the UNIQA<br />

<strong>Ladies</strong> Golf Open presented by Raiffeisen in Austria,<br />

defeating England’s Laura Davies at the second sudden<br />

death play-off hole at Golfclub Föhrenwald in Wiener<br />

Neustadt.<br />

n In 2008, after working on some technical swing<br />

changes, Linda struggled to find her previous form in<br />

2008. She played in eight <strong>LET</strong> events all year and her<br />

best finish was T19th at the Scandinavian TPC Hosted<br />

by Annika. She was 96th on the New Star Money List<br />

with season's earnings of €19,201.04. In America, she<br />

competed in 22 events with her best finishes T8th at<br />

both the LPGA Corning Classic and Kapalua LPGA<br />

Classic. She earned $165,111 throughout the<br />

season to finish 75th on the US money list.<br />

n In 2007, Linda played in 11 <strong>LET</strong> events in 2007 and<br />

earned €158,960.38, finishing 8th on the New Star<br />

Money List. She secured her second <strong>LET</strong> victory at the<br />

Vediorbis Open de France Dames in Arras, northern<br />

France. With some impressive putting, she carded a<br />

final round 65 in heavy rain to finish a shot ahead of<br />

Trish Johnson. She posted two further top ten finishes:<br />

T2nd at the <strong>Ladies</strong> English Open and T7th at the Ricoh<br />

Women's British Open at St Andrews, where she played<br />

with eventual winner Lorena Ochoa in the last group in<br />

the final round. She also finished in the top 20 on three<br />

further occasions with the following results: T12 at the<br />

S4C Wales <strong>Ladies</strong> Championship, T13 at the ANZ <strong>Ladies</strong><br />

Masters and T15 at the Dubai <strong>Ladies</strong> Masters. Her<br />

impressive performance caught the eye of <strong>European</strong><br />

Solheim Cup skipper Helen Alfredsson, who selected<br />

her as one of three Captain's picks for The 2007<br />

Solheim Cup at Halmstad, Sweden. Linda made an<br />

impressive debut and scored 1.5 points from two<br />

matches. She earned her first full point by defeating<br />

Cristie Kerr 1up in the singles. Wessberg also played<br />

in 13 LPGA tournaments with conditional status and<br />

recorded three top-tens, finishing the US season<br />

ranked 65th in earnings.<br />

n In 2006, Linda secured her first <strong>Ladies</strong> <strong>European</strong> <strong>Tour</strong><br />

title and a first prize of EUR 77,070 at the Wales <strong>Ladies</strong><br />

Championship of Europe at Machynys Peninsula G&CC.<br />

She defeated Laura Davies by a shot, winning with a<br />

birdie at the 72nd hole. She entered the final round with<br />

a two shot lead and posted a 71 to win on 14-under-par<br />

274 in her third year on <strong>Tour</strong>. She admitted that she had<br />

been aided by the hire of local caddy and club member,<br />

James Graham. Linda posted three further top tens and<br />

three top 20s throughout the season. Finished T3 in the<br />

BMW <strong>Ladies</strong> Italian Open, T6 in the SAS Masters and<br />

T10 in the ANZ <strong>Ladies</strong> Masters. She closed the year at<br />

6th on the New Star Money List with €142,414.47.<br />

n In 2005, Linda, who played in 18 events on the <strong>LET</strong>.<br />

Her best finish was 2nd at the Spanish Open, where<br />

she posted a low round 66 on day one. Posted T6 at<br />

both the ANZ <strong>Ladies</strong> Masters and the <strong>Ladies</strong> English<br />

Opens. Recorded five further top 20 finishes and<br />

finished the season 16th in the Money list and 11th<br />

on the Exemption Money List.<br />

n In 2004, Linda made a fabulous start to her<br />

professional career finishing at 9th on the Order of<br />

Merit in her rookie season. Narrowly beaten to the<br />

Rookie of the Year title by Minea Blomqvist but Linda<br />

showed excellent consistency and talent in 2004.<br />

Finished second at the <strong>Ladies</strong> Open of Portugal,<br />

T3 at the French Open, T5 at the KLM <strong>Ladies</strong> Open.<br />

Linda has a swing and tempo not dissimilar to the<br />

World number one Annika Sorenstam.<br />
