PROFESSIONAL<br />
n In 2012, Caroline played in 18 tournaments and<br />
posted 3 top-10s including T6th at the Deloitte <strong>Ladies</strong><br />
Open, T7th at the UniCredit <strong>Ladies</strong> German Open<br />
presented by Audi and T8th at the Hero Women's<br />
Indian Open. Ended the season ranked 44th on the<br />
ISPS Handa Order of Merit.<br />
n In 2011, Caroline had four top-10s including a career<br />
best finish of second at the UNIQA <strong>Ladies</strong> Golf Open at<br />
Golf club Foerenwaldh in Austria and joint second at the<br />
Deloitte Dutch <strong>Ladies</strong> Open at Golfclub Broekpolder.<br />
She was third at the Aberdeen <strong>Ladies</strong> Scottish Open<br />
and tied for 8th at the Allianz <strong>Ladies</strong> Slovak Open. She<br />
ended the season ranked 27th on the Money List, which<br />
was her best of four years on tour.<br />
n In 2010, her third season on the <strong>LET</strong>, posted a career<br />
best finish of 7th at the Vediorbis Open de France Dames<br />
at Paris International Golf Club.<br />
n Tied for 9th at the Tenerife <strong>Ladies</strong> Open with a career<br />
low 65 (-7) in the fourth round at Buenavista Golf Club.<br />
n Earned €40,859.11 and finished 55th on the<br />
Henderson Money List.<br />
n Won the Order of Merit on the <strong>LET</strong> Access Series:<br />
the official feeder tour to the <strong>LET</strong>. Earned two <strong>LET</strong>AS<br />
victories at the Terre Blanche <strong>Ladies</strong> Open and La Nivelle<br />
<strong>Ladies</strong> Open in France.<br />
AMATEUR<br />
Afonso was the No.1 ranked French amateur in 2007,<br />
the year she won the French <strong>Ladies</strong>’ Amateur<br />
Championship. She won the1999 French amateur<br />
championship and was a finalist in the 1999 Junior<br />
French championship. She won her full card for the<br />
<strong>LET</strong> at the first attempt.<br />
PERSONAL<br />
Afonso started to play golf at the age of 10. She enjoys<br />
playing football, swimming, going to the cinema and<br />
listening to music. She credits her father as her greatest<br />
influence. Coached by Philippe Mendiburu, father of<br />
former <strong>LET</strong> champion Sandrine Mendiburu. Osteopath<br />
and nutritionist is Stepháne Martin-Rosset. Afonso holds<br />
a “Terminale” qualification, which is the equivalent of the<br />
French BAC. She lives in Anglet, near Biarritz, and is<br />
attached to Saint-Laurent Golf Club in Brittany.<br />
