PROFESSIONAL<br />
First <strong>Tour</strong> victory came in 1987 Weetabix Women’s British<br />
Open since when she has added 11 more <strong>Tour</strong> titles.<br />
Twice won three times in a season. Finished 2nd in<br />
Order of Merit three years running from 1988. Formed<br />
formidable partnership with Laura Davies in Solheim Cup.<br />
Scored two LPGA victories in the 1995 Corning Classic<br />
and the PING-AT&T Wireless Services LPGA Golf<br />
Championship. Showed remarkable consistency on 1999<br />
<strong>LET</strong>, securing top-10 finishes in seven of her nine events.<br />
Called a two-shot penalty against herself in second round<br />
of 1999 Donegal Irish <strong>Ladies</strong> Open, eventually missed<br />
out on a playoff by one shot. Represented the victorious<br />
<strong>European</strong> side in The Solheim Cup 2000 and secured 2.5<br />
vital points. Was appointed Vice Captain of The Solheim<br />
Cup for 2003 and 2005. Retired from competitive golf in<br />
2004 after 20 years on <strong>Tour</strong>. Assisted at The 2007<br />
Solheim Cup in Halmstad, Sweden. Served as <strong>European</strong><br />
Solheim Cup Captain for The 2009 Solheim Cup at Rich<br />
Harvest Farms, Sugar Grove, Illinois, USA. Was reappointed<br />
as <strong>European</strong> Solheim Cup Captain for the<br />
12th match at Killeen Castle, Ireland, in 2011 when<br />
Europe defeated the USA by a score of 15-13.<br />

PERSONAL<br />
152cm with brown hair and brown eyes. Hobbies include<br />
skiing, reading, photography and most other sports.<br />
Awarded MBE in Queen’s Birthday Honours list. Having<br />
retired from her playing career after 20 years on tour,<br />
Alison now concentrates her efforts on golf days, clinics,<br />
coaching, consultancy work, speaking engagements,<br />
commentary and charity work. She teaches at The Alison<br />
Nicholas Golf Academy in Birmingham and is a qualified<br />
PGA Level 2 & <strong>European</strong> Golf Teachers Federation coach.<br />
