Evaluating The Privacy Measure Of The Source…
node location and its identity. For a fixed path of length L hops, the Degree of Disclosure (DoD) will be given
by (2)
DoD = (1/L)
(2)
If there is n number of fixed paths each having length L 1 , L 2 , L 3 .....Ln then DoD will be computed as in [8] and
given by (3)
DoD = (1/{ L 1 + L 2 + L 3 +.....Ln })
(3)
The degree of privacy due to routing, (DoP) R is given by (4)
(DoP) R = 1-DoD
(4)
Here 1 is taken as the value for maximum privacy when no message leaks any kind of location information to
the adversary.
The Privacy Measure Index (PMI) describes the overall privacy achieved by the SLP scheme and is defined as
the average privacy achieved as a result of anonymization and random routing. Thus PMI is given by (5).
PMI = [(DoP) A + (DoP) R ] / 2
