SELECTION PROCESS<br />
Selektirajući dosad rekordni<br />
broj filmova pristiglih na <strong>Film</strong>sku<br />
reviju mladeži i <strong>Four</strong> <strong>River</strong><br />
<strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> u Karlovcu, potvrđuje<br />
se činjenica da je film uz<br />
glazbu i dalje najmoćnije sredstvo<br />
komuniciranja umjetnika i<br />
publike. Mladi hrvatski i svjetski<br />
filmaši ne samo da prate suvremene<br />
trendove u filmskom stvaralaštvu,<br />
nego i postavljaju nove.<br />
Najbolji naslovi koji će se natjecati<br />
za nagrade u gradu na četiri<br />
rijeke odreda su trijumfi mašte,<br />
kompetencije i želje da se utječe<br />
na stvarnost onim najboljim<br />
u čovjeku – kreativnošću i uzajamnošću.<br />
Ima, naravno, i filmova<br />
koji idu na sigurno, ne eksperimentiraju<br />
i odlučuju se za oprobane<br />
recepte. No, i na filmu se<br />
rizik isplati. Budite uvijek svoji!<br />
Čak i kad vas drugi ne razumiju.<br />
<strong>Film</strong> je trajna vrijednost i kad-tad<br />
će ga netko pogledati i možda, na<br />
sasvim drugom kraju svijeta, primiti<br />
njegovu snagu i ljepotu. Uz<br />
ovogodišnje filmove svijet je povezaniji<br />
nego prije.<br />

the Youth <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, that are world even more connected.<br />

we have once again witnessed<br />
the fact that the film, alongside<br />
music, is still the most powerful<br />
means of communication<br />
between the artists and the audience.<br />
Young movie makers from<br />
all over the world, Croatia included,<br />
are not only following the<br />
current trends, but are setting<br />
their own. The films selected to<br />
compete for the title of the best in<br />
the city by the four rivers, are all<br />
a triumph of imagination, competence<br />
and above all the desire<br />
to affect reality with the greatest<br />
achievements of the mankind<br />
– creativity and reciprocity. Of<br />
course, many films follow the<br />
established pattern and don’t<br />
experiment, but sometimes the<br />
risk, even in movie making, is<br />
worth it. Always remain true to<br />
yourselves! No matter if you’re<br />
misunderstood. <strong>Film</strong>s have long<br />
shelf-life and eventually somebody<br />
will sit down and watch<br />
them, maybe somewhere in an-<br />
