Chapter 2 Before You Install the S-box Installing and Configuring the S-box This chapter describes how to properly set up, install, and configure your S-box in your networking environment. The following topics are covered: • Checking the computer’s TCP/IP Installation and Configuration • Installing the TCP/IP protocol on your computer (if not installed) • Configuring the TCP/IP settings for different platforms • Network Installation • Configuring your S-box for Internet connection Before You Install the S-box Prior to connecting and setting up your S-box for operation, you must do the following: • Check if TCP/IP Protocol is installed on your computer. • Check your computer’s TCP/IP settings to make sure it obtains its IP address automatically. Refer to the relevant section in this guide in accordance with the operating system that runs on your computer.
