5.2 On receiving the tendered ballot paper, the elector concerned will go into the<br />
voting compartment and will mark his vote on the ballot paper by putting the<br />
cross mark on or near the symbol <strong>of</strong> the contesting candidate <strong>of</strong> his choice by<br />
means <strong>of</strong> the arrow cross mark rubber stamp.<br />
5.3 The elector will then fold the tendered ballot paper and after coming out <strong>of</strong> the<br />
voting compartment hand it over to you.<br />
5.4 You shall keep all the tendered ballot papers and the list <strong>of</strong> such tendered<br />
ballot papers prepared in Form 17B in a cover specially provided <strong>for</strong> the<br />
purpose and seal the cover at the close <strong>of</strong> the poll.<br />
5.5 If owing to blindness or physical infirmity, such elector is unable to record his<br />
vote without assistance, you shall permit him to take with him a companion in<br />
accordance with the procedure mentioned in Chapter XXII.
