The impairment loss recognised in <strong>2005</strong> reflects impairment identified in respect of two intangible assets amounting to<br />

€4.5 million. As a result of an impairment test, the recoverable amount of these assets was judged to be less than their carrying<br />

amount.<br />

Note B3 - Property, plant and equipment<br />

Property, plant and equipment are assets purchased or acquired by means of finance lease contracts.<br />

As at 31 December <strong>2005</strong>, the gross value of assets acquired by means of finance leases and restated as property, plant and<br />

equipment in accordance with IAS 17 amounted to €7,213 thousand.<br />

The main constituents of the Group’s property, plant and equipment are:<br />

◆ land,<br />

◆ buildings, which comprise the buildings themselves and any fixtures and fittings,<br />

◆ machinery and industrial equipment,<br />

◆ other property, plant and equipment, which comprise mainly computer hardware, office furniture and motor vehicles.
