Cooling System Sealing Additives<br />
CAUTION: The use of sealing<br />
additives in the cooling<br />
system can cause damage to<br />
the engine. Sealing additives<br />
can plug various areas of<br />
the radiator, EGR system<br />
and oil cooler. The plugging<br />
of the cooling system can<br />
hamper heat transfer, causing<br />
internal engine damage. Do<br />
not use sealing additives in<br />
the cooling system. The use<br />
of sealing additives can:<br />
• Build up in coolant<br />
low-flow areas.<br />
• Plug the radiator and oil<br />
cooler.<br />
• Damage the water pump<br />
seal.<br />
