Full-flow Oil Filter Installation<br />

1. Lightly oil the new O-ring.<br />

2. Install a new O-ring onto the screw<br />

cap.<br />

3. Install the screw cap, with the<br />

oil filter cartridge, onto the filter<br />

housing. Tighten the screw<br />

cap to 354 lb-in (40 Nm). Use<br />

a hexagonal socket to avoid<br />

damaging the oil filter cap.<br />

Maintenance Procedures<br />

After Replacing Oil Filter(s)<br />

1. Reconnect the chassis battery<br />

cable at the negative battery<br />

terminal. See Warnings at<br />

Centrifugal oil filter removal<br />

preparation.<br />

2. Add approved engine oil SAE<br />

15W40 (API CJ-4) to the maximum<br />

level marked on the dipstick.<br />

3. Start and run the engine for five<br />

to ten minutes and check for any<br />

oil leaks.<br />

4. Remove oil collection pan and<br />

dispose of any spillage properly.<br />

5. Check engine oil level and top up<br />

as necessary.<br />

° pull the dipstick and wipe with<br />

a clean, lint free cloth<br />
