Maintenance Procedures<br />
NOTE: A small amount of<br />
coolant could leak out when<br />
the filter is loosened. Use a<br />
suitable container to catch<br />
any drips.<br />
NOTE: The coolant filter<br />
cartridge is a disposable<br />
filter and may not be<br />
cleaned and reused.<br />
Dispose of the filter as<br />
chemical waste.<br />
5. Remove the O-ring from the<br />
coolant filter housing, if it has not<br />
been removed already.<br />

Installation<br />
1. Apply a small amount of coolant to<br />
the sealing ring of the new coolant<br />
filter.<br />
2. Install the filter, rotating it<br />
clockwise until the sealing ring<br />
makes contact with the filter<br />
housing. Then tighten by hand ½ -<br />
¾ of a revolution.<br />
3. Turn the shutoff valve to the Open<br />
position.<br />
4. Reinstall the radiator cap.<br />
5. Start the engine and run at idle<br />
speed for several minutes. Check<br />
for leaks.<br />
