Government of the District of Columbia FY 2013 Proposed Budget and Financial Plan Volume 1 - Executive Summary Seizing Our Future Submitted to the Congress of the United States by the Government of the District of Columbia
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) presented a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to District of Columbia Government, District of Columbia, for its annual budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2010. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communications device. This award is the eleventh in the history of the District of Columbia. The Office of Budget and Planning (OBP) submitted the FY 2012 Budget and Financial Plan for consideration by GFOA and will also submit the FY 2013 Budget and Financial Plan to GFOA. OBP believes this budget continues to conform to the GFOA’s requirements.
