Installing IO Libraries Suite 3
If you do not have another vendor’s VISA installed, you
will see a similar dialog box, but the check box will be
selected, indicating that the default is to install Agilent
VISA as primary.

Side- by- Side Mode” on page 38.
11 If you chose a Custom setup, you will now see the Choose
Destination Location dialog.
From this dialog, you may select specific destination
folders for:
• The IO Libraries Suite software
• Agilent VISA (This choice is enabled only if you have
not previously installed VXIPlug&Play drivers or other
VISA components.)
• IVI shared components (This choice is enabled only if
you have not previously installed IVI shared
components or IVI drivers.)
NOTE
The Agilent VISA and IVI shared components folders chosen during this
installation will affect the installation location of any related instrument
drivers that you install later. If you have already installed such drivers, the
related IO Libraries Suite components will be installed in the folders you
chose at that time, and these choices will now be disabled.
12 If you chose a Custom setup, you will now see the Select
Features dialog box.

Click on any feature in the list to see the feature
description and the space requirements for the selected
set of features. It is recommended that you install the
manuals and sample programs if you plan to program
with the Agilent IO Libraries; however, you may omit
them to save space.
b Select the check box for each feature to be installed.
Clear the check box for each feature to omit.
c When you are done selecting features, click Next >.
