Suitable extinguishing media: In case of fire use foam, carbon dioxide or dry agent
(S43). Keep container(s) exposed to fire cool by
spraying with water
Unsuitable extinguishing media: N/A
Special exposure hazards in fire: In case of fire, do not breathe fumes.
Required special protective
equipment for fire-fighters:
Wear Chemical Protection Suit and Positive-Pressure
Breathing Aparatus.
Personal precautions: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/
face protection (S36/37/39).
Environmental precautions: Shut off all ignition sources. Ventilate the area.
Methods for cleaning: Absorb spillage in inert material and shovel up.
Handling: The usual precautions for handling chemicals should
be observed. Ensure adequate ventilation. When
using do not eat, drink or smoke (S20/21). Wash
thoroughly after use. Eyewash bottles should be
available.
Storage: Opened containers should be carefully resealed and
stored in an upright position.
Take measures to prevent: Inhaling substance mist or fumes. Contact with skin
or eyes.
Constituent exposure limit: 1, 4 Butanedioldiglycidyl ether (see section 11).
Respiratory protection: Wear an NIOSH approved respirator for organic
vapours whenever high level exposure to vapours or
mist is anticipated.
Hand protection: Wear suitable protective gloves (neoprene are
recommended)
Skin protection: Wear suitable protective clothing. A suitable barrier
cream should be used to protect the skin (apply
before contact).
Eye protection: Wear suitable eye/face protection.
