(vi) Facilitate children in Laroo School for War affected children<br />
The sector continued to provide operational support <strong>and</strong> disbursed funds to 624 war affected children<br />
<strong>and</strong> 4 traumatised children. The Belgianfunded government school which opened its doors in 2006<br />
serves child survivors of the 23year insurgency of the Lord Resistance Army (LRA). The school only<br />
caters for classes P.1 to P.6.<br />
(vii) Construction <strong>and</strong> rehabilitation of primary schools<br />
Under the Emergency Construction <strong>and</strong> Rehabilitation of Primary schools project, 38 schools were<br />
identified <strong>and</strong> 18 schools received funds for the construction, rehabilitation <strong>and</strong> provision of furniture.<br />
These schools among others include: Bujubi P.S in Mityana; Bugwe P.S <strong>and</strong> Namutumba C/U P.S in<br />
Namutumba; St. Thomas Catholic P.S in Bweyogerere; St. Aloysius Bukasa; Bbale Waswa P.S; <strong>and</strong><br />
Kasengejje P.S in Wakiso; Kagina P.S in Kabale; Kichekano P.S in Isingiro; Namukunyu P.S <strong>and</strong><br />
Nawanyago P.S in Kamuli; <strong>and</strong> St. Joseph Day <strong>and</strong> Boarding P.S Nazigo; Kirowozo C/U; <strong>and</strong><br />
Nakabalanga P.S in Mukono; Bundikahungu P.S in Bundibugyo; Kalububbu P.S in Sembabule; Patto<br />
P.S in Sironko; <strong>and</strong> Kigalagala P.S in Jinja;<br />
(viii) Under SFG/PRDP <strong>and</strong> Presidential Pledges Programmes<br />
A total budgetary provision of 71.4bn was earmarked for the implementation of various<br />
infrastructural developments in all Local Governments including all divisions. Tables 4.1.1 <strong>and</strong> 4.1.2<br />
show the progress of works for SFG Normal <strong>and</strong> SFG/PRDP during the period under review.<br />
