If the cross-sections set in <strong>RF</strong>-<strong>TIMBER</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> are different from the ones used in <strong>RF</strong>EM, both<br />
cross-sections are displayed in the graphic in the right part of the table. The designs for the<br />
cross-section selected in <strong>RF</strong>-<strong>TIMBER</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> will be performed with the internal forces of <strong>RF</strong>EM.<br />
Member with tapered cross-section<br />
For tapered members with different cross-sections at the member start and member end,<br />
the module displays both cross-section numbers, in accordance with the definition in <strong>RF</strong>EM,<br />
in two table rows.<br />
<strong>RF</strong>-<strong>TIMBER</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> is also able to design tapered members provided that the same cross-section<br />
type is defined for the start and the end cross-section. A taper design requires additional<br />
specifications in table 1.7 (see chapter 2.7, page 26).<br />
Info about cross-section<br />
The cross-section properties and stress points including numbering can be accessed in a<br />
separate dialog box: Select the relevant cross-section in table 1.3, and then click the [Info]<br />
button to open the dialog box Info about cross-section.<br />
