Diagnostics and Troubleshooting Reference Manual – Virtual SAN
Checking storage controller/adapter supportability
The first area of focus is whether or not the HP Smart Array 410i is on the VCG and if
it is supported. From the VCG for Virtual SAN, select the I/O Controller, then HP as
the brand name. This will search all releases and all device types.
Click on the update and view results to see a list of supported HP controllers:
There is no entry for the HP Smart Array 410i, which implies that this is not a
supported controller for Virtual SAN and therefore should not be used with Virtual
SAN. However, this is the status right now – this may change in the future.
