Checking a Fusion-IO flash device: firmware
Clicking on the model in the above output takes us to the models details view:
From this details screen, the PCI Vendor ID information as well as the firmware
information can be checked. The vendor id certainly matches the Fusion-IO Vendor
ID, and the firmware version of the card is displayed, but there is no driver version.
Highlighted above is the firmware version above and as can be clearly seen, the VCG
is recommending the same version as the host is running - 7.1.15.
If there was an outdated version of the firmware on the PCI-E flash device. The
vendor, in this case Fusion-IO, should be consulted for the location of the latest
firmware, and the vendor documentation should be consulted for steps on how to
upgrade the firmware on the PCI-E card.
