Nora Webster, outgoing Chair of the Older
People’s Forum in Kilkenny.
“I liked that the Age Friendly
programme was inclusive
Nora Webster is an excellent example of active
citizenship. Following her retirement, she
returned to education, completing a degree in
Community Development at NUI Maynooth.
Friendly programme was inclusive with all the
service providers working with older people –
not for older people.”
Nora Webster became the Chairperson of the
Older People’s Forum in Kilkenny in 2010. The
Executive Committee of the Older People’s
Forum was formed in 2011. “We realised
that we couldn’t get anywhere with the larger
