The core membership of the Service Provider Forum will be those proposed in Appendix A.<br />

The Chairperson will be elected by the forum and will represent the forum at the ________ <strong>Age</strong><br />

<strong>Friendly</strong> County Alliance.<br />

Membership will be reviewed every 12 months.<br />

Administration<br />

The administrative function of the Service Providers Forum will be supported by the __________<br />

and this support will be reviewed as the Forum develops.<br />

The <strong>Age</strong> <strong>Friendly</strong> County Coordinator will be responsible for managing the development and<br />

implementation of the <strong>Age</strong> <strong>Friendly</strong> County Strategy and part of this role will be to support the<br />

development of the Service Providers Forum.<br />

Meetings<br />

The Forum shall meet bimonthly.<br />

All meetings shall be scheduled and diaried 12 months in advance to ensure full attendance.<br />

The quorum at all meetings of the Forum shall be 50% of the full membership. If at any time,<br />

there is not a quorum present, the meeting shall not proceed.<br />

The Forum principles<br />

The Forum is based upon the principles of opportunity, inclusion, participation, equality, seeking to:<br />

• Achieve the full potential of ________ as an <strong>Age</strong> <strong>Friendly</strong> County whilst enhancing the richness of<br />

our history and environment<br />

• Recognise and celebrate the many opportunities for ________ as an <strong>Age</strong> <strong>Friendly</strong> City/County<br />

• Ensure a better quality of life for older people in ________ now and for generations to come<br />

• A shared commitment to the concept of ________ an <strong>Age</strong> <strong>Friendly</strong> City/County<br />

• Clarity about what the commitment means in practice<br />

• Recognition that this is a process resulting in action and change<br />
