Consultation Recorders/Reporters:<br />
The role of the recorder/reporter for<br />
consultation is equally important to that of<br />
the facilitator. The key role of the recorder<br />
is to write down clearly what is raised in the<br />
consultation without interpreting or editing it<br />
in any way. Abbreviations can be used once<br />
clarity is kept. It’s very important to include<br />

direct quotes on issues raised by older people<br />
as some of these will be used in the <strong>Age</strong><br />
<strong>Friendly</strong> Strategy to highlight the voice of older<br />
people in the process.<br />
The sample recording sheet in the Appendix to<br />
Chapter 2 gives space for the themes covered<br />
across the four key questions asked by the<br />
facilitator during the consultation.<br />
