SUMMARY<br />
To summarize the adjustment procedures:<br />
$ Always check your gear thoroughly before putting it on your back.<br />
$ Put the packed rig on over your jumpsuit.<br />
$ Thread the leg straps through the adapter or connect the straps, checking that they are<br />
not twisted, and position the comfort pads.<br />
$ Tighten the leg straps until snug.<br />
$ Stand up straight and secure the chest strap; it should not be cinched too tightly.<br />

under an appropriately rated instructor’s supervision.<br />

DEPLOYING THE RESERVE PARACHUTE<br />
Before a jumper uses a Vector 3, they should first practice the reserve procedures on the ground<br />
under an appropriately rated instructor’s supervision.<br />
A skydiver may be faced with a number of emergencies including those in the aircraft, during<br />
climb out or exit, in freefall, during deployment, under canopy and landing. A currently rated<br />
instructor or parachute center must provide training for any and all emergencies before jumping<br />
a Vector 3.<br />
