The Vietnam <strong>Veteran</strong>s of California (VVC) offers community based services for<br />

veterans and their families. VVC has several programs located in Sacramento,<br />

Eureka, Santa Rosa and Menlo Park. Their focus is on employment and training<br />

support, transitional housing, and alcohol and drug recovery. VVC serves veterans<br />

of all eras.<br />

The Sacramento <strong>Veteran</strong>s <strong>Resource</strong> Center (SVRC) is a multi-function campus<br />

with the most comprehensive mix of services for veterans in Northern California.<br />

Employment Counseling & Training: The SVRC helps veterans obtain career<br />

training and self-sustaining employment opportunities.<br />

Supportive Housing: The SVRC offers fifty-two onsite and eight offsite beds for<br />

homeless veterans, including female veterans with children. Their supportive<br />

housing programs offer up to 24 months of stable living, combined with<br />

comprehensive supportive services to effectively end the cycle of homelessness<br />

and assist veterans in the acquisition of permanent housing and sustainablewage<br />

jobs. The Jon Oberg Center is a state-licensed, 22-bed transitional housing<br />

program for veterans and non-veterans in need of drug/alcohol recovery services.<br />

The <strong>Veteran</strong>s Business Outreach Center (VBOC) is a Small Business<br />

Administration-funded business center for veterans who own or are interested<br />

in starting a small business. In addition to comprehensive consulting provided<br />
