The Women <strong>Veteran</strong>s Health program promotes the health, welfare, and dignity<br />

of women veterans and their families by ensuring equitable access to timely,<br />

sensitive, and quality health care. There is a full time women veteran’s program<br />

manager at every VA Medical Center, a women’s liaison at every community-based<br />

outpatient clinic, and a Women <strong>Veteran</strong>s Coordinator at every regional office.<br />

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION<br />

The Women <strong>Veteran</strong>s Coordinator will assist women veterans with the<br />

development of claims and assist in handling them for gender specific conditions,<br />

including trauma from sexual assault and harassment. Additionally, a special<br />

pocket guide has been developed that describes benefits and services for women<br />

veterans titled “Women <strong>Veteran</strong>s: 25 Frequently Asked Questions.” To view the<br />
