Activity 30 : Preparation of group work<br />
Time : 1½ hours<br />
Purpose : To allow the participants time to reflect on what they have gained<br />
from the training program so far and prepare a report to demonstrate<br />
their learning.<br />
Materials : This will depend on how the participants choose to create their reports;<br />
the most likely materials that will be used are large pieces of paper and<br />
pens, props <strong>for</strong> role plays such as chairs and table<br />
Directions : Step 1<br />
Ask participants to divide into three groups (about 6-7 people in each<br />
group) to prepare a creative report on the training program so far that<br />
highlights:<br />
• what new in<strong>for</strong>mation they have learned<br />
• things they feel they have understood well<br />
• things they feel less sure about<br />
• any other ideas or suggestions regarding the program.<br />
Allow 1½ hours <strong>for</strong> preparation of the presentation.<br />
Some possible methods <strong>for</strong> presenting reports include:<br />
• a role play or creative per<strong>for</strong>mance that incorporates the above<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
• drawings or posters that incorporate the above in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
• songs<br />
• short presentations or group discussions.<br />
