Read the following quote from the WHO.<br />
Health promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over and improve<br />
their health. Activities are geared toward promoting health in the population as a whole.<br />
Health promotion is not just the responsibility of health workers, it is a coordinated action<br />
that involves and benefits the whole community.<br />
Step 2<br />
Ask participants to <strong>for</strong>m four groups and discuss and list the key factors<br />
that contribute to mental health and well being in their communities.<br />
Allow 10 minutes <strong>for</strong> this activity then ask the groups to share their<br />
suggestions.<br />
