When he started running the camp at its formerWillowbrook location, there were 40 children in attendance. Now the Staten Island Summer Day Camphas “close to 400 children in attendance.”The Staten Island Day Camp Early Childhood program is designed to enhance the day camp experiencefor your young child. Michael Halpern adds, “A great beginning for our youngest children obviouslyneeds to start with great educators.”The Staten Island Day Camp is accredited by the Camping Association and there are over 750 standardsthat Halpern must follow to maintain the accreditation.
