The objective is to optimizeefforts with respect to minimal vehicle maintenancecosts.If and when you come to sell your BMW, a comprehensiverecord of servicing will prove a significantbenefit.Condition Based Service CBSSensors and special algorithms take the differentdriving conditions of your BMW intoaccount. Condition Based Service uses this todetermine the current and future servicerequirements. Your BMW Service Advisorcan read out this data from the remote controlunit, and propose an optimized maintenanceapproach. Whenever you take your car infor servicing you should therefore hand yourBMW Service Advisor the remote control unitthat you last used.Make sure that the date in the instrumentcluster is always set correctly, refer topage 68; otherwise, the effectiveness of ConditionBased Service CBS is not assured.
