Once the BMW Assist systemhas been deactivated, Emergency Requestsare not possible. The BMW Assist system canbe reactivated by a BMW center after a newcontract has been signed.Sending an Emergency Request1. Briefly press the cover flap to open.BMW Assist Response Center contacts youand takes further steps to help you. Even if youare unable to respond, the BMW AssistResponse Center will be able to initiate furthersteps to assist you under certain conditions.If the circumstances allow this, remain in thevehicle until the connection has been established.You will then be able to provide adetailed description of the situation.Data for determining the necessary rescuemeasures are transmitted to the BMW AssistResponse Center, e.g. the current position ofyour vehicle, if it can be determined.If the LED is flashing but the BMW AssistResponse Center cannot be heard over thehands-free system, it is possible that thehands-free system is malfunctioning. You maystill be heard by the BMW Assist ResponseCenter, however.Under certain conditions, an EmergencyRequest is sent automatically immediately aftera severe accident. This Automatic CollisionNotification is not affected by the button beingpressed.For technical reasons, the EmergencyRequest service cannot be guaranteedfor the most unfavorable conditions.
