Continuing studentsand new students who have completed their assessmenttesting and met with advisors may register any time duringOpen Registration.Touchtone and online registration are alsoavailable for qualified continuing students.WebAdvisor is your convenient online window to PSC’scourse offerings and more. Find out courses and sectionsoffered, credit hours for that course, faculty assigned, when andwhere the class meets, and the number of seats left in the section.Youcan also search for classes through WebAdvisor. Onceyou’re registered, you’ll be given a user ID and password.Thenyou can view your own class schedule, grades, GPA and unofficialtranscript.After your first semester, you can also registervia WebAdvisor.To access WebAdvisor, go to the PSC home page(www.prairiestate.edu) and click on WebAdvisor. Or you canenter via the “Prospective Students” or “Current Students” link.Help with WebAdvisor is available in the Student SuccessCenter computer lab<strong>Prairie</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>College</strong> is an approved site for veterans trainingby the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs. See page 30for more information.INTERNATIONAL STUDENTSPrior to enrolling at <strong>Prairie</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>College</strong>, international studentsmust have successfully completed the equivalent of 12 years ofschooling, consisting of primary and secondary levels.You must comply with the following requirements withoutexceptions:1. Educational Records. You must present official records ofall schoolwork completed or attempted.All records must listthe subjects taken, grades earned or examination results ineach subject, as well as all certificates and diplomas. If these arein a language other than English, they must be accompanied byan official English translation.The credentials presented must becertified by an official of the school issuing the documents orby a United <strong>State</strong>s consulate official. Uncertified copies are notacceptable.2. English Proficiency. You must demonstrate a proficiency inEnglish at a college level as indicated by a Test of English as aForeign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (paper-based) or ascore of 173 (computer-based).The TOEFL may be waived ifthe national language of your home country is English.You maycontact PSC’s International Student Advisor for more informationon English proficiency at (708) 709-3641. Contact thenearest American Consulate in your home country for dateswhen TOEFL will be administered.3. Financial Resources. In order to be considered foradmission, you must furnish documented evidence thatadequate provision for all financial needs has been made whilepursuing studies in the United <strong>State</strong>s.4. Local Sponsor. If you have a local sponsor, you must indicatewho the local sponsor is.The local sponsor must be anAmerican citizen or a permanent resident who will be financiallyresponsible for you while you attend <strong>Prairie</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>College</strong>.5. Application Deadline. All credentials need to be submittedat least four months prior to the proposed admission date.The <strong>College</strong> does not provide housing but will provideinformation to help you locate housing.You must indicate thathousing arrangements have been made by your local sponsor.You must register for a full-time (at least 12 credit hours)load for each semester while in attendance at <strong>Prairie</strong> <strong>State</strong><strong>College</strong> to comply with immigration regulations. No more thansix semesters will be allowed to complete all requirementstoward a degree. It may not be possible for international applicantsto secure financial aid on the basis of federal and stateregulations.
