Its purpose is to further their educationand training so they can find jobs to support themselvesand their families.The program is funded in part by a grant from the IllinoisDepartment of Labor. For more information, call the programcoordinator at (708) 709-3788, or stop by Room 1164.CHILDREN’S LEARNING CENTERThe <strong>College</strong> provides child care and pre-kindergarten servicesfor our students, faculty, staff and district residents, as spaceallows.With an expanded capacity to serve 78 children, the11,426-square-foot Children’s Learning Center is capable ofproviding the best in care and education for youngsters ages 15months to 12 years.The center’s pre-kindergarten program can accommodate40 students. It’s at the northwestcorner of the Main Campus just south of Vollmer Road.BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE BOOKSTORETextbooks required for your courses are available at the Barnes& Noble <strong>College</strong> Bookstore, and the bookstore staff can assistyou in determining the textbooks you need. If your book purchasesexceed $300 you are eligible to set up a payment plan.The plan requires a down payment of one-third of your balance(half down payment in the summer) when you purchase yourbooks.The bookstore sells new and used textbooks, supplies,computer software, novelty items and snacks. Store hours are8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 to3:00 p.m. on Friday, except during the summer when the<strong>College</strong> is closed on Fridays.
