UNDP Municipal Governance and Sustainable Development Programme First Quarterly Progress Report 20092.1 DEVELOPMENT RESULTSIn 2009, the UNDP/MGSDP focuses on improving the capacities of central government todecentralize fiscal and administrative powers / responsibilities in support of local development;strengthening capacities of local authorities to transparently define and implement localdevelopment strategies, deliver public services and foster local development; and enhancingcapacities of communities to realize improvements in local social, economic and environmentalconditions. In addition, UNDP/MGSDP focuses on SDC sub-project in Vinnytsya region andAR Crimea and CIDA sub-project in AR Crimea.
