<strong>UNDP</strong> Municipal Governance and Susta<strong>in</strong>able Development Programme <strong>First</strong> <strong>Quarterly</strong> <strong>Progress</strong> <strong>Report</strong> <strong>2009</strong>On January 28-29, <strong>2009</strong>, Donor Mission to Saky Municipality(AR Crimea) was held for Sherry Greaves, <strong>First</strong> Secretary of theCanadian Embassy <strong>in</strong> Ukra<strong>in</strong>e/CIDA, Sonya Elmer, ProgrammeOfficer from SDC headquarters, decentralisation and localgovernance sector, Olena Lytvynenko, Programme Officer fromSDC <strong>in</strong> Ukra<strong>in</strong>e and Oksana Remiga, Programme Manager ofthe Local Development Programme, <strong>UNDP</strong> Ukra<strong>in</strong>e. Theparticipants have reviewed local project sites and reconfirmedcommitment to further cooperation <strong>in</strong> meet<strong>in</strong>g with localauthorities.Photo-20: The delegation visited project siteof PO “Svitlyachok”On March 17-18, MGSDP was presented <strong>in</strong> DesPro steer<strong>in</strong>gcommittee meet<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> AR Crimea. Olena Ursu,<strong>UNDP</strong>/MGSDP Governance and Susta<strong>in</strong>able DevelopmentOfficer and Iryna Skaliy, <strong>UNDP</strong>/MGSDP Project Managerpresented <strong>UNDP</strong>/MGSDP and its experience <strong>in</strong> AR Crimea.Also, the MGSDP activities <strong>in</strong> Crimea were discussed withAnatoliy Gritsenko, Speaker of the Crimean Parliament.
