The greatest competition for logging residues is likely to be from whole tree harvesting ofsoftwood pulpwood, and the use of tree tops for boiler fuel at pulpmills. Two of the pulpwoodmill facilities identified in Table 3, Buckeye Florida LLC Cellulose and Rayonier FernandinaBeach, are believed to use some portion of logging residues in addition to mill wastes to generateelectricity. Thus, we reduced our assumptions of availability of current logging residues from90% to 60%. These values exclude stumps, leaves, and bark.Figure 6.
