<strong>Crime</strong> & Criminals Tracking Network and Systems ProjectMeghalaya PoliceThe detailed quality of service requirements are given in the Service Levels attached as Annexure II tothis Volume of RFPApplication ArchitectureIt has been proposed that the Applications designed and developed for the department must follow somebest practice and industry standards.In order to achieve the high level of stability and robustness of the application, the system developmentlife cycle must be carried out using the industry standard best practices and adopting the securityconstraints for access and control rights. The various modules / application should have a commonException Manager to handle any kind of exception arising due to internal/ external factors. This will helpease of application maintenance and enhancements. Similarly the modules/ application are to besupported by the Session and Transaction Manager for the completeness of the request and response ofthe client request. The system should have a module exclusively to record the activities/ create the log ofactivities happening within the system / application to avoid any kind of irregularities within the system byany User / Application.Proposed Application ArchitectureThe 3-tier architecture (also referred to as multi-tier or N-tier architecture) has been proposed for theApplication Solution.The entire processing should take place in three layers: Front-end software (client tier) - responsible for the presentation of information. Middleware (application server tier) - responsible for all the business rules Server Software (database server tier) - responsible for the manipulation and storage of data. Dataranges from text to numerical, to video on demand.6.2.3 State Specific RequirementsSelected System Integrator would be completely responsible for successful implementation of end toend CCTNS solution in Meghalaya State as per the requirement of Meghalaya Police and on the linesof NCRB, MHA guidelines. It is imperative for System Integrator to understand two basic aspects ofthis project, i.e. CCTNS Solution as provided by Centre and secondly the specific requirements of theMeghalaya State, for the success of this project. An indicative list of specific requirements is detailedbelow; however, final specific requirements would emerge from the Detailed System Study to beconducted by System Integrator as also indicated in section 6.3.Volume I Request for Proposal for Selection of System Integrator Page 53 of 205
