Examination reforms implemented:Candidates are able to get their results published online since 2003. In addition, thefollowing recommendations were made by the Examinations Committee in February2005 and accepted by the Academic Council in November 2005:• The difference between the I and II valuations in the End of SemesterExaminations is now raised to 15% from the existing 10% for purposes ofreconciliation of the two valuations in the award of marks in the relevant answerpaper.• The average of the mark awarded in the third valuation and the mark (in the I andII valuations) nearest to the third valuation mark is to be taken as the final awardof mark in the relevant paper instead of the existing method of taking the thirdvaluation as the final mark.Computerization of administration and the process of admissions andexamination results, issue of certificates:• Student data is computerized for easy and quick access to all data pertaining tostudents in the Admissions office, Records office and Examinations office.• Parents are intimated about the student’s progress and attendance on a regularbasis and they can meet the Deans to clarify their queries.• The Student Profile is computerized so as to get details without delay.6. Candidates qualified for NET/SLET/GATE etc:As on date the college does not have a record of these data. However, many studentsappear for these examinations and qualify.8
