Gururajan,Professor and Head, Department of Computer Applications, Kumaraguru Collegeof Technology, Coimbatore, on the topic ‘Two Valued Processes and TheirApplications’, March 2006.International Level• ‘Human Rights and Water’: International Study Conference organized by theDepartment of Social Work, Madras Christian College. There were about 300participants from various Schools of Social Work from all over the country andabroad and also representatives from international agencies like UNICEF andDHAN foundation, 9 to 12 October 2005.• ‘Bonded Labour; an Illusion or Reality’: Conference organized by the Departmentof Social Work, Madras Christian College in collaboration with InternationalJustice Mission. The conference was inaugurated by Justice P.N. Bhagwati,former Chief Justice of India, 12 December 2005.• ‘Mental Trauma Care’: Five day workshop organized by the Department of SocialWork, Madras Christian College in association with Mediant Mental HealthInstitution, Enschede, The Netherlands, January 2006.National Level• Curriculum Development in Political Science: Workshop organized by theDepartment of Political Science, Madras Christian College and sponsored by theUnited Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA), December2005.• ‘Curriculum in Economics and Industry Needs: An Exploration withConvergence’: workshop conducted by the Department of Economics, MadrasChristian College, February 2006.14
