The index reflects the collective view of our purchasing
panel. The length of time to cellar wines is a very subjective
decision and will depend on individual preferences, cellar
temperature, storage conditions etc.

DRINK NOW: Enjoy and drink. There is no benefit
to cellaring.
OR HOLD: Can be enjoyed now, but may be
matured further by cellaring, depending on
individual preference.
Ideal for further cellaring. This wine may well
be enjoyed now by some but we feel that the wine will
develop favourably under ideal cellaring conditions.
PERCEIVED SUGAR CONTENT
Perceived dryness/sweetness by tasting evaluation.
VINTAGES scale ranges from Extra Dry to Sweet: XD, D,
MD, M, MS, S. Please discuss specifics with our Product
Consultants or store staff.

TASTING NOTE: Bright light amber color. Sweet
roasted corn, clay, and buttery pistachio praline
aromas follow through on a round, supple entry
to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with dried
fruits, toffee, dusty grain, and oak spice notes.
Finishes with a nice lingering resonant earthy,
spicy fade. Very solid and old school bourbon.

This legendary libation was one of a shortlist of
whiskies to have received 95 points, the highest
score ever awarded by whisky guru Michael Jackson
(The Malt Whisky Companion, 2004). It is matured
entirely in Sherry barrels. While the sherry barrels
impart rich, smoky, cinnamon-spice character to
the malt, the distillers use relatively small pot stills
to give this whisky a pleasant dryness. This is an
excellent aperitif whisky to serve with wild-caught
smoked salmon, or as the perfect accompaniment
to contemplation or good conversation.
